CALL FOR PAPERS

Joint FLINS/ISKE 2024 conference

July 16-21, 2024, Madrid (Spain)

https://eventos.ucm.es/96182/section/44316/flins-2024.html

Organized by: Complutense University of Madrid, Spain.

Co-organized by: Southwest Jiaotong University (China), Nankai University (China), University of Technology Sydney (Australia), Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Industries Textiles (France) and Technical University of Madrid (Spain).

FLINS, an acronym stated in 1994 for Fuzzy Logic and Intelligent Technologies in Nuclear Science, has become a well-established international research forum to advance the foundations and applications of computational intelligence for applied research in general and for complex engineering and decision support systems.

FLINS 2024 is the 16th meeting in a series of conferences on Soft Computing, Machine Learning, and Decision Making. The principal mission of FLINS is bridging the gap between machine intelligence and real-world complex systems via joint research between universities and international research institutions, encouraging interdisciplinary research and bringing multidiscipline researchers together.

FLINS 2024 will be jointly held with the 19th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Knowledge Engineering (ISKE 2024), another well-established series of conferences that pursues to provide a platform for technical and scientific professionals in the fields of intelligent systems and knowledge engineering to exchange knowledge and distribute the emerging state-of-the-art technologies.

The two conferences will be held together aiming to gather and report the progress and recent outstanding contributions in fundamental principles, practical methodologies, efficient implementations, and applications of soft computing and machine learning.

The FLINS/ISKE 2024 conference will be held in Madrid, Spain.

FLINS/ISKE 2024 accepts submissions that have not been published or submitted in any form elsewhere. Besides technical and research papers, survey and industrial case studies are also welcome. Accepted full papers will be published as a book by World Scientific Press, to be submitted for indexing. The two conferences will offer FLINS/ISKE outstanding paper awards and nominate after extension to international journals such as Knowledge-based Systems and International Journals on Computational Intelligence Journals.

In addition to the standard Full Paper submission, this joint FLINS/ISKE conference allows the Abstract Only submission modality (all submissions will be peer reviewed and all accepted submissions will be eligible to be presented at the conference, but only accepted full paper submissions will be published in the conference proceedings).

Topics of interest (but not limited): soft computing, machine learning including deep learning, transfer learning and many others), data science, artificial neural networks, classification, clustering, feature extraction, computing with words, decision theory and analysis, expert systems, evolutionary/bio-inspired algorithms, fuzzy systems, intelligent systems, optimization, and their applications in sustainability, water, energy, and environmental management, etc.

Submission of papers: researchers are invited to submit their manuscripts (in pdf format and written in English) either a 4-6 pages Full Paper via easy-chair by December 15, 2023 (link to be updated); or a 1-page Abstract Only by February 16, 2024 (link to be updated). Format for submissions can be found in the FLINS/ISKE 2024 conference Web site.
